One of the best known oil traders in Asia, Hin Leong has a well established presence in transport and trading in South East Asia and operates a specialized ocean oil tanker enterprise with a carrying capacity of more than 4.37 million tons.
Sinopec is one of the world’s largest corporations in the petroleum and chemicals sector and is ranked ninth largest in the world's top 500 companies. Sinopec Lubricants, the lubricant arm of the Sinopec Corporation, sells its products in more than 40 countries, and its marine oil products are widely used by ships operating domestically in China, on inland rivers and offshore seas, as well as in ocean-going vessels.

The agreement provides for the use of Sinopec's full line of marine lubricants in Hin Leong's two newly built very large crude oil carriers (VLCCs, 318,000-ton-class), Taihang and E'mei. Hin Leong’s choice of Sinopec Lubricants as its new supplier shows its great confidence in the superiority and vigorous quality control of Sinopec's lubricant products.

The supply agreement was signed on behalf of the companies by Li Jianguo, general manager of Sinopec International (Hong Kong), and Evan Lim Chee Meng, executive director of Hin Leong, and they also signed a supply agreement for ten other ships.
