SINOPEC lubricants are now used on Taihang San and E'mei San , very large crude oil carriers (VLCCs) in Singapore, which means that Chinese marine lubricants have overcome the monopolies of foreign brands in this area and have made groundbreaking progress in applications. On Jan. 22 in the E'mei Naming Ceremony by Singapore Hin Leong Trading (Pte) Limited, the ship-owners spoke highly of the premier quality and service of SINOPEC lubricants.

Mr. Lin Zhiming, the director and general manager of Singapore Tankers Pte Ltd expressed his confidence in SINOPEC in an interview. He said: "Since SINOPEC is a big corporation with a strong presence in the aerospace field, we trust the quality of its products. Our confidence also comes from SINOPEC's efforts to build its networks in recent years. Wish SINOPEC Lubricants more great success in globalization".
Known as "Sea Behemoths", VLCCs are even larger than Nimitz, the largest U.S. aircraft carrier with a 110,000 tons displacement and as long as 1,100 feet.
