New Success – a 300,000-ton VLCC (very large crude carrier ) - built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and affiliated to the China Merchants Group - departed from Dalian and started its maiden voyage on July 13, 2010. New Success’s entire equipment adopted the SINOPEC lubricants such as cylinder oil, gear oil, and grease lubricants, covering 18 kinds in 10 categories. New Success had successfully passed through a trial voyage test confirming lubrication of all equipments as per standards.

The China Merchants Group is one of the largest VLCC fleet operators. There are only over 400 VLCC oil tankers such as New Success in the world.
