SINOPEC Lubricants successfully completed the cylinder oil supply work for New Success, a 300,000-ton VLCC of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd., at Khor Fakkan near UAE’s Fujairah Port on October 27, 2010, marking the official launch of the Middle Eastern supply network of SINOPEC’s marine lubricants.

SINOPEC marine lubricants supply network in Middle East covers the ports in such Middle Eastern countries as the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. Together with the established overseas supply outlets in Singapore and Hong Kong, etc., the supply network of SINOPEC marine lubricants can satisfy the lubricant supply need in Middle East and even Far East routes.

Based on elaborate preparation, SINOPEC adopted oil barges for supply and strictly followed all the security and environmental protection laws and regulations for local ports and VLCCs when supplying SINOPEC marine cylinder oil to the VLCC New Success in Middle East. The whole oil supply lasted for only three hours, and the standard oil supply service gained unanimous recognition from the carrier crew and management.
